Genesis

PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Sonepur, established in 2010 in Subarnapur district, Odisha, initially operated from a temporary building in the DIET campus. The foundation stone was laid by the then Prime Minister of India, Sri Narendra Modi, in 2019. The new school building, constructed in Panisiali, Sonepur, was inaugurated on February 20, 2024, by the Honorable Prime Minister of India through virtual mode, in the presence of Smt Sangeeta Kumari Singhdeo, Member of Parliament, Shri Anya Das (IAS), Chairman VMC, and other dignitaries. The school currently has double sections from Class 1 to 5 and a single section from Class 6 to 12. The new infrastructure has created an ambience of sincere learning, far from the madding crowd, in the lap of Mahanadi, providing a serene and conducive environment for students to grow and excel.
