All other actions are but toil, and all other disciplines merely displays of skill. The sages and seers of India have long proclaimed knowledge as the ultimate means of human emancipation. Since time immemorial, humanity has yearned to be free—from fear and hunger, from inner impurities and destructive tendencies, from moral decline, weakness, helplessness, inferiority, and the burdens of disease and sorrow. The profound wisdom of the Vishnu Purana reminds us that it is through knowledge that one must strive to transcend all suffering. True learning is born of sacrifice and nurtured through discipline and austerity; it is never attained without sincere effort and perseverance. Let us, therefore, walk the path of discipline with unwavering dedication. Let us pursue knowledge with humility, making mindful and ethical use of all resources at our disposal. By harmonizing our food, conduct, and thoughts, we can awaken and nurture the infinite potential bestowed upon us by nature—allowing it to flourish and blossom in the radiant light of wisdom. हम सभी कृष्ण यजुर्वेद के तैत्रीय उपनिषद के इस सूत्र का प्रतिदिन अपने विद्यालयों में प्रातःकालीन प्रार्थना सभा में सस्वरपाठ करते हैं :- ॐ सह नाववतु सह नौ भुनक्तु , सह वीर्यम करवावहै | तेजस्वि नावधीतमत्सु मा विद्विषावहै, ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः।। Let us come together to understand the profound message embedded in this guiding principle and strive to embody it in our daily actions. It is the role of the school to build and strengthen character that will not crumble when tested in the crucible of adulthood, and to develop qualities of good leadership that can be employed in the future for the creation of a superior nation. There is an old Chinese adage “When planning for a year, plant corn; When planning for a decade; plant trees; When planning for life, educate people.” KV SONEPUR prides itself on the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual development of its students. It is our constant endeavor to shape well-rounded personalities that will contribute positively to the world around them. For the development of all round personality of our students, we work tirelessly to carefully assemble a diversified calendar of events each year that fits into the scheduled time frame of the academic year. We aim to provide sufficient opportunities to each student to discover and understand themselves, and face and overcome challenges presented to them to make school life fulfilling and complete. The aim behind all our co-curricular and academic activities is not only to impart bookish knowledge but to provide the environment for young minds to take wing. It is the role of a school to instill desirable qualities in their students and this can be done when we provide appropriate situations that require individuals to step up to be leaders when the need arises. Being a comparatively a new school we have had to work very hard to be what we are today. I often tell our staff members & students “If you not number one -you have to strive harder”. I would like to gratefully acknowledge the hard work and efforts of all the staff members who have worked tirelessly with passion and commitment which has helped us to realize our goals. In the end, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our Dy. Commissioner, KVS(RO), Bhubaneswar Dr. Shiharan Bose & Chairman VMC, Ms. Anya Das, IAS, District magistrate & Collector, Subarnapur, for being a constant source of inspiration.

Working collectively, students shared ideas, explored new concepts and created a vibrant scrapbook that beautifully reflects their imagination, cooperation and joy of learning.

A Nasha Mukt Yuva Programme was conducted at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Sonepur on 5th August 2026 to spread awareness among students about the harmful effects of substance abuse and promote a healthy, responsible and drug-free lifestyle. Students and representatives from nearby schools were also invited to participate in the programme and collectively support the message of a Nasha Mukt Bharat.

On 1 August 2026, KV students participated in an engaging “Fibre to Fabric” learning experience, exploring how natural fibres are transformed into fabric. The hands-on activity helped students connect classroom concepts with real-life processes while developing curiosity, creativity and appreciation for traditional textile practices.
